(September 21, 2020 12:00 PM) The Jackson County Health Department released the COVID-19 positive numbers for Jackson County.  As of 12 PM today, there are 974 positive cases (cumulative), and 42 deaths (cumulative)*.    

There are 18 new cases and 1 new death since Saturday’s report.  There is no longer a Sunday report from either the state or Jackson County.

Cumulative recovered, as of September 21, 2020:  729**

The Michigan Department of Corrections is reporting as of 3:15 PM September 18, there are 1,675 confirmed positive cases at Jackson facilities and 167 confirmed positive staff cases.  MDOC positive case numbers are cumulative.

As of 7 AM September 17, there is 1 person at Henry Ford Allegiance Health being treated as inpatients for COVID-19.

The Jackson County Township map and recovery data will be posted each Monday. 

*These numbers do not reflect any cases or deaths identified through Michigan Department of Corrections.  Their numbers are listed under a separate category “Others” for the Michigan Statistics.

**Recovered is defined as the number of persons with a confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis who are alive 30 days post-onset (or referral date if onset is not available).
