(8-23-2025, 12:00PM): After an 8-3 record with a third straight playoff appearance in 2024, the Manchester Flying Dutchmen look to build a tighter bond with each other and keep building in 2025.
HC Josh Lindeman returns for his second year with Manchester. Lindeman took over the job last year for Ben Pack (now with Springport) after leading Addison to multiple Cascades Conference titles during his 10-year run.
Key returning players for the Dutch include seniors Jackson Walz (QB/S), Walter Ahrens (RB/LB), Brett Brothers (OL/DL), Chase Conklin (RB/DB), and Cade Sayer (WR/DB) plus junior Jayden Johnson (RB/LB).
Lindeman has also added Tom Johns as the team’s new special teams coordinator. Johns was previously a longtime administrator and coach for Napoleon.
Manchester will continue its fullhouse-T offense, a staple for Coach Lindeman going back to his Addison days. Defensive coordinator Hunter Dart returns for his second year. Other key assistants on staff this year include Clay Pelham, Frederick Bills, Kobe Farrow, and Duane Weaver.
Goals for the 2025 season include “playing Manchester football for all the right reasons”. “Be violent men inside the lines and great men outside the lines.”
MHS opens the season on the road at Marlette, another Division 8 opponent about 45 minutes east of Frankenmuth, the Dutch defeated them 24-8 in Week 1 last year.
