(September 22, 2021 3:35 PM) Michigan reported 6,079* coronavirus (COVID-19) positive test cases today, with the state reported total now at 1,001,989.

With today’s MDHHS report, more than one million Michiganders, about 1 in 10,  have been diagnosed with COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic last year.  The state says another 123,000 cases of COVID-19 are suspected.

Michigan is reporting 81** COVID-19-related deaths today with the state total at 20,781.  

*Note on cases (09/20/2021): Today’s daily case count represents new referrals of confirmed cases to the MDSS since the last web update report.  Over the three days (Saturday, Sunday, and Monday), the average number of new confirmed cases is 2395 per day.
