Today, a live audio broadcast, online only:  The Michigan Military Heritage Museum and Grass Lake Community Schools welcome Richard Thelen, Michigan’s only remaining survivor of the Navy’s worst tragedy at sea. Mr. Thelan is one of only 15 remaining survivors of the USS Indianapolis.   Hear how he and his shipmates endured the Japanese attack, days in the water and the sharks. Mr. Thelen will speak and take questions from the audience at Grass Lake High School. Immediately after, he will be available for a short time at the MMHM with books to sign. All proceeds benefit the USS Indianapolis Memorial. Do not miss this rare opportunity to hear this tale first hand.
