Northwest, Napoleon Look for Trips To State Wrestling Team Finals

(February 13, 2024 4:27 PM ET) Northwest and Napoleon High Schools are two wins away from qualifying for the Michigan High School Athletic Association state team finals. 

Northwest will host the MHSAA team regional Wednesday in Division 2 while Napoleon travels to Williamston in Division 3.

The Mounties face Battle Creek Harper Creek in the regional semifinal beginning at 5:30 p.m. Northwest defeated Harper Creek 33-24 earlier in the season and won the Interstate-8 Conference title going undefeated in the duel season.

Napoleon faces Eaton Rapids at Williamston beginning at 5:30 p.m. The host school and Clinton are on the other side of the backet. The Pirates avoided the Dundee Dungeon – a place where nobody gets out – in the regional round but will be tested should they get past the Greyhounds. 

The team wrestling finals are scheduled for Feb. 23 and 24 at Wings Stadium in Kalamazoo. 

Here are the listings and times for Wednesday’s team regionals.

Division 2 Wrestling Team Regional

At Northwest High School, 5:30 p.m.

Stevensville Lakeshore vs. Three Rivers

Northwest vs. Harper Creek

Final at approximately 7 p.m. 

Division 3 Wrestling Team Regional

At Williamston High School, 5:30 p.m.

Eaton Rapids vs. Napoleon

Williamston vs. Clinton

Final at approximately 7 p.m.
