Design Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the functionality of the machine design by ensuring it meets all criteria in the sales order, is manufacturable, and is capable of meeting customer requirements
  • Engineer & Design Machines, Fixtures, and Tooling
  • Understanding and the knowledge of the manufacturing processes
  • Contain a clear understanding of the scope of the project and initiate management involvement when changes of scope occur
  • Keep management informed of the project status when dealing with design concerns, customer requests, lack of information, or schedule problems
  • Achieve allocated design times and meet scheduled completion dates
  • Other duties or tasks as assigned or required

What you bring to Lomar:

  • 4-year degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience: 5-10 Years’ Experience in Manufacturing Facility
  • Mechanically inclined with a basic understanding of physics and geometry principles
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills on a technical level along with professional interaction at a technical level with customers
  • Superior computer and Solidworks skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills with an innovative and detail-oriented mindset
  • Ability to adapt to rapid change in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-managed, willing, and able to make decisions in the company’s best interest
  • Possess a sense of urgency related to daily tasks and achieving goals.
  • Good organization, prioritizing, documentation, and follow-up skills

Engineering Technician
