
Design Engineer
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the functionality of the machine design by ensuring it meets all criteria in the sales order, is manufacturable, and is capable of meeting customer requirements
- Engineer & Design Machines, Fixtures, and Tooling
- Understanding and the knowledge of the manufacturing processes
- Contain a clear understanding of the scope of the project and initiate management involvement when changes of scope occur
- Keep management informed of the project status when dealing with design concerns, customer requests, lack of information, or schedule problems
- Achieve allocated design times and meet scheduled completion dates
- Other duties or tasks as assigned or required
What you bring to Lomar:
- 4-year degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience: 5-10 Years’ Experience in Manufacturing Facility
- Mechanically inclined with a basic understanding of physics and geometry principles
- Excellent written and oral communication skills on a technical level along with professional interaction at a technical level with customers
- Superior computer and Solidworks skills
- Strong problem-solving skills with an innovative and detail-oriented mindset
- Ability to adapt to rapid change in a fast-paced environment
- Self-managed, willing, and able to make decisions in the company’s best interest
- Possess a sense of urgency related to daily tasks and achieving goals.
- Good organization, prioritizing, documentation, and follow-up skills
