Closing out the Black Box Summer Series will be Red Tail Ring on Thursday, August 27 at 7:00pm. This Americana music is an elegant blend of string and vocal harmonies. Since their 2011 debut double-album, Red Tail Ring has played 130 shows a year with tours to both U.S. coasts and performances in Denmark and Germany.
Red Tail Ring is the musical brainchild of two old-time-minded Michiganders – Michael Beauchamp and Laurel Premo. The collaboration blends the loving attention of revivalist fervor with the playful creativity of starting from scratch. The pair delivers both established ballads and original compositions with a clear, authentic ease that manages to transcend traditional form while honoring its legacy.
Whether rendering a traditional tune or one of their many original compositions, the duo infuses each song with musical imagination, haunting harmonies and instrumental artistry on fiddle, banjo, mandolin, jawharp, and plain-old foot stomping.
Share a night of Americana with friends and family at the Tecumseh Center for the Arts. Ticket will be selling fast for this performance, so get them while you can.
