The Jackson County Fair will be hosting “Roots ‘n’ Boots Country Jam II” starring John Anderson, Pam Tillis, and Little Texas on Sunday, August 5th, 2018 at 7 p.m.

The Jackson County Fair announced Roots ’n’ Boots Country Jam II is the second act to be booked for the 2018 Fair.  Last month, it was announced that Darci Lynne Farmer, winner of last season’s America’s Got Talent will perform on Monday, August 6th at 6 PM.

John Anderson is a 2x multi-platinum selling artist from Apopka, Florida.  Anderson has produced 23 albums, with more than 60 singles.  Including the 1982 album “Wild & Blue,” which spawned the Number One single on the Billboard Country music chart, “Swingin’,” and ultimately propelled Anderson to winning the award of Country Music Association’s artist of the year (1983).  Fans will recognize hit singles like “Straight Tequila Night (1992),” “When It Comes To You (1992),” and “Money In The Bank (1993).” With an already impressive list of accomplishments behind him, Anderson turned his focus to new music.  His latest album, “Goldmine,” was released in May 2015.

Pam Tillis hails from Plant City, Florida, but spent her childhood in Nashville, Tennessee.  With 6 number ones and 14 top ten singles, Pam is very familiar with breaking the platinum barrier.  Over the years, Tillis has had more than 30 singles charting on US billboard charts and has sold more than 7 million copies of her studio albums.  Her single, “Mi Vida Loca (My Crazy Life) (1995),” peaked at #1 on the Billboard Country music chart.  Pam’s success has resulted in multiple awards, including 2 Grammy awards and 6 Grammy nominations.

Little Texas burst onto the country music scene in the early nineties with their first radio release, “Some Guys Have All The Love (1991).”  This track, as well as #1 singles, “What Might Have Been (1993),” “God Blessed Texas,” and “My Love,” resulted in the groups’ first CMT award, a Billboard award, a Radio & Records award, and their first Grammy nomination.  Their recently released 8th album, “Young For A Long Time,” is proof the band has never sounded more confident.
