The WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY remains in effect until 7 AM Sunday. Snow, heavy at times early this morning. The snow may mix with a bit of sleet and/or freezing rain early this morning. Lulls in the precipitation are expected today with some rain and drizzle occurring at times. Total snowfall by this evening will be in the 4 to 7 inch range. Lake effect snow will develop this evening and this will be combined with windy conditions.

Blowing and drifting snow along with slippery roads are expected tonight. Additional snow of an inch or two is possible tonight.

The Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for Jackson County and all portions of south central and southwest Michigan until 7 AM EST Sunday.

Plan on slippery road conditions. Some power outages will be possible due to the winds combining with the weight of the wet snow on tree limbs and power lines. Blowing and drifting snow is expected tonight which will limit visibility. Area roads will quickly ice up this evening.

A heavy wet snow is expected tonight with intermittent snow on today. Colder air pours in tonight with lake effect snow increasing.

Some event cancellations are expected and you are advised to check ahead.

The City of Jackson Recreation Department has cancelled all activities for today.
