(8-8-2025, 12:00PM): – After falling short of the 2024 postseason due to playoff points, the Grass Lake Warriors are looking to make a comeback into the playoffs in 2025. But, they will have to do so with less experience than previous seasons.

HC Randy Cole is returning for his 25th year with the Warriors. Cole is the second-longest serving coach in the area behind Lumen Christi’s Herb Brogan. “Great coach, always trying to make us better players and people. He holds us accountable” says the players.

Key returning players include senior Manny Schafran (OL/DL), who is GL’s only returning starter on offense.

Newcomers expected to make an impact include junior QB Kaline Wescott. He replaces the spot of Brayden Lape, a 3-year varsity QB who led the top passing game in the entire state in 2024.

Other newcomers include running backs Blake Harms (senior) and Aryn Hensen (freshman), and junior wide receivers Braden Snyr and Gavin Killinger, both saw some varsity minutes last year.

Offensive coordinator Anthony Cole is returning for his 10th year and defensive coordinator Chris Reul is back for his 12th. The Warriors are looking to put more emphasis on running the ball this year.

Goals for the 2025 season include getting back into the playoffs.
