Jets basketball players net honors from MCCAA

  The Michigan Community College Athletic Association has announced Western Conference player awards for the 2015-16 basketball season. Congratulations to those being recognized! For the Jackson College Jets men, those honored include: Tarae Potter, guard, All Region, All-MCCAA, First Team All-Conference, All-Freshman Team, Freshman Player of Year. Potter is a freshman who graduated from Jackson High School. Charles Lawler, forward, Second Team All-Conference. Lawler is a sophomore who graduated from Albion High School. Eldridge Mason, forward, Honorable Mention All-Conference. Mason is a sophomore who graduated from Lathrup High School in Southfield. Matt Bullinger, forward, Honorable Mention All-Conference. Bullinger is a sophomore who graduated from Lumen Christi High School in Jackson. For the Jackson College Jets women, those honored include: Chelsy Hall, guard/forward, Second Team All-Conference. Hall is a sophomore and graduate of Jackson High School. Kennedi Showerman, forward, Third Team All-Conference. Showerman is a sophomore and graduate of Vandercook Lake High School.

Prospect Airport Services Celebrates 50th Anniversary

Prospect Airport Services, Inc., a leader in airport support services, is pleased to announce the company’s 50th anniversary in 2016 and commemoration of the milestone with a series of company events. Bob and Mary Strobel founded Prospect Airport Services, Inc. in 1966 as a maintenance services company serving O’Hare Airport in Chicago. Spring Arbor assistant coach Eric Salley named head men’s soccer coach at Trinity Christian

SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – After serving as an assistant coach for Spring Arbor University men’s soccer the past three seasons, Eric Salley has been named the new head men’s soccer coach at Trinity Christian College.   “I am very thankful to Nate for his mentorship and the opportunity he gave me to begin my coaching career,” said Salley. “I can’t put into words how much he has taught me and helped me over the years. I have enjoyed my time working with the team and wish them the best as they continue to move forward. I am very excited about the opportunity I have been given at Trinity Christian, and I am looking forward to getting started with the team.”   Trinity Christian, an NAIA institution and member of the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC), is located in Palos Heights, Illinois. The Trolls posted a 2-16 record last season, which included a 1-11 mark in the CCAC.   Salley has served in all facets of the SAU program from game strategy, recruiting and fitness and conditioning.
