High pressure will provide another pleasant day before slipping away Saturday. Low pressure tracking east across the northern Great Lakes Region over the weekend will bring scattered showers and thunderstorms. Today:  Sunny, with a high near 78. Events of June 2 – 4, 2017

Today is the Grand Opening for the season of the Grand River Farmers Market in Downtown Jackson.  New hours this year are 9am to 2pm Tuesday, Friday and Saturday through September.  Several vendors will be offering seasonal produce and local items.  The Grand River Farmers Market is presented by the Jackson Downtown Development Authority and now accepts credit/debit cards and Bridge cards. LifeWays MOMS Club Connection meets at 10am at Trinity Wesleyan Church.  Program details at 517-750-2654. The Dirty Bird welcomes the Alaskan Brew Company for a "Tap Takeover" this evening between 5pm and 9pm. The Dirty Bird is one of Downtown Jackson's new restaurants and the outdoor patio is now open. The 16th Annual Jackson Blues Fest continues today and tomorrow at the Jackson County Airport.  Hours today are 6pm to 12 Midnight.  Acts scheduled for today:  6pm The Corridors;  7:15pm Harmonica Hounds;  7:30pm Anthony Gomes;  9pm Joanna Connor;  10:45pm Kev Nichols and Blue Tuesday.  Admission is $10.  Food and beverage available for purchase.
