Above normal temperatures return for Today and Tuesday as south flow pumps warmer air into the region. We will reach the upper 70s today and around 80 on Tuesday. A cold front will progress through the area Tuesday night and Wednesday bringing with it showers and thunderstorms. Today:  Mostly sunny. Highs in the upper 70s. South winds 5 to 10 mph. Tonight:  Mostly clear. Lows in the lower 50s. South winds around 10 mph. Tuesday:  Mostly sunny until midday then becoming partly sunny. Highs around 80. South winds 5 to 10 mph. Tuesday Night:  Partly cloudy in the evening, then mostly cloudy with a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms overnight. Lows in the lower 60s. Southwest winds 5 to 10 mph. The Spring Arbor Branch of the Jackson District Library presents Knitting 101.  Learn the basics of knitting on Mondays from 1-2:30 p.m. A different knitting project each week.  Please call the Spring Arbor Branch at (517) 750-2030 for more information. Intended for adults.  Yoga at Meijer Branch, Jackson District Library.  Every Monday and Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. and Friday at 8:30 am.  Join Yoga instructor Jeanette Lamphere and learn the basics of yoga.  Suggested donation $3. Intended for adults.   Family Storytime and Crafts at the Carnegie Branch, Jackson District Library.  Join us at the Carnegie Branch every Monday at 6 PM for stories, crafts and more. Intended for ages 0-7 and their families. The Michigan State Police Jackson Post is hosting a Citizens’ Academy, which will start today and end Nov. 6, 2017. Dry weather is forecast to continue today, Monday and Tuesday. A warming trend will occur through Tuesday with highs around 70 expected today, mid to upper 70s on Monday and around 80 on Tuesday. An increased fire danger is expected on Monday and Tuesday given the prolonged dry weather, breezy conditions and warm temperatures. The next chance for rain comes Tuesday night into Wednesday.
