Bright Walls Mural Festival. Opening Day. Bright Walls brings 13 national and international artists to paint large scale public art murals in downtown Jackson. For six days, the city will be filled with live mural painting, musical performances, food trucks and artistic workshops of all kinds. Today, ribbon cutting at 12 Noon (behind Grand River Brewery). Daily events, mural painting, entertainment, food and more through Tuesday, October 9. Full schedules and details at brightwallsjackson.com. Drug Free Jackson presents Recreational Marijuana: The Impact on Michigan. The town hall will include presentations from the Michigan Chamber of Commerce, Michigan Prosecuting Attorneys Association, Healthy and Productive Michigan and Drug Enforcement Administration.
