Red Cross Blood Drive.  12 p.m. - 5:45 p.m., St Ritas Church, 10720 Hayes Road, Clark Lake. Exploring DNA.  Celebrate Women’s History with science! Learn about Rosalind Franklin and her DNA discoveries, extract DNA from a strawberry, and make paper Origami DNA. Intended for tweens and teens age 10 and older.  SPRING ARBOR BRANCH, Jackson District Library.   Wednesday, May 29th at 3:00 pm. Wednesday Night Family Night.  Bring the whole family, Mom, Dad and the kids! Admission is only $4, skate rental $4, Laser Tag only $4. Early Bird food specials will be featured, so bring your appetite as well. Family Fun Pack only $40 includes: Skating, rental skates, 10 game tokens each, 1 game of Laser Tag each for (4) people. ($10 for additional members, 1 parent must remain present)  Skate mates $5 + deposit.  Allskate Fun Center, 1313 West North Street, Jackson. Cascades Summer Entertainment Schedule Announced

Jackson County Parks has announced the 2019 Entertainment Schedule for The Cascades.  The schedule includes regular Wednesday night Family Entertainment at the Falls, Holiday Weekend Concerts and Fireworks, Concerts at the Rotary Bandshell and special event “Palooza” concerts at the Falls. The first Palooza at the Falls is Saturday, June 1 featuring Shout:  Beatles Tribute.  Live entertainment, food trucks, beer tent and more!  PALOOZA at the FALLS, is a live music show with the backdrop of the illuminated, colorful, man-made waterfall. Entertainment includes SHOUT a Beatles Tribute Band dubbed as Michigan's best Beatles tribute band. From head to toe, this fantastic tribute to the Fab Four is everything an audience might expect from a  Beatles tribute band and more.   Gates open at 6pm with live entertainment starting at 6:30 by SHOUT! and Grand Light Show to follow. Admission is $5 per person. Future Palooza at the Falls concerts are Mobile Dueling Pianos on July 6 and Phoenix Theory on August 3. The first Rotary Bandshell concert features popular Jackson singer-guitarist Steve Berkemeier on June 8.  All Rotary Bandshell concerts are see. James R. Selby Memorial Track and Field Classic

The James R. Selby Memorial Track and Field Classic is today, the annual event serves as an all-star showcase for Jackson-area track athletes. JTV will be on hand to broadcast the event, and you can join us on our website. JTV Sports | May 28th, 2019 | Gabriel Schray Jackson, Michigan– The James R. Selby Memorial Track and Field Classic is today, the annual event serves as an all-star showcase for Jackson-area track athletes. Team gather at Withington Community Stadium outside Jackson High School each year at the end of May to see who the best sprinters, distance runners, throwers, jumpers and vaulters. The showcase run of the night will be the girls 800m.  Judy Rector from Hanover-Horton has committed to run at Michigan State and Allison Rand from Lumen Christi has committed to run at Tennessee.
