MDOC Cumulative Report: 2,640 Confirmed Positive Cases at Jackson Facilities, 297 Confirmed Positive Jackson Staff
(November 29, 2020 8:12 PM) The Michigan Department of Corrections is reporting as of 2:45 PM November 29, there are 13,796 confirmed positive COVID-19 cumulative cases at facilities throughout the state, an increase of 4,385 in the past week. Of that statewide total, 2,640 of the confirmed positive cases are at Jackson facilities. The number of cases in Jackson facilities increased by 577 in the past week. Throughout the state corrections system, there are currently 5,529 active cases. In Jackson, there are 1,107 confirmed positive COVID-19 cases at Charles E. Egeler Reception and Guidance Center, 216 at Cooper Street Correctional Facility, 23 at Duane Waters Health Center, 783 at G. Robert Cotton Correctional Facility, and 511 at Parnall Correctional Facility. Among staff, there are a total of 1,921 COVID-19 positive cases statewide. In Jackson, there are 117 confirmed positive COVID-19 cases among employees at Charles E. Egeler Reception and Guidance Center, 25 at Cooper Street Correctional Facility, 63 at G. Robert Cotton Correctional Facility, 3 at Jackson Regional Office, 2 at Jackson Training Center and 87 at Parnall Correctional Facility. Among Jackson staff, an increase of 30 in the past week. (November 28, 2020 3:08 PM) Michigan reported 8,080 coronavirus (COVID-19) positive test cases today, with the state reported total now at 350,021. The State of Michigan is reporting 103* COVID-19-related deaths today, with the state total at 9,036. *The deaths announced today includes 70 deaths identified during a Vital Records review. See cumulative data page for more information.. State Cumulative Total of Recovered COVID-19 Cases (as of 11/20/2020): 165,269. This information is updated Monday through Saturday at 3 p.m., with COVID-19 results included as of 10 a.m. Monday reports include Sunday data.
Jackson County Cumulative Report: 4,966 COVID-19 Positive Cases and 87 Deaths
(November 28, 2020 12:05 PM) The Jackson County Health Department released the COVID-19 positive numbers for Jackson County. As of 12 PM today, there are 4,966 positive cases (cumulative), and 87 deaths (cumulative)*. There are 155 new cases and 1 new death since yesterday's report. This is the largest single-day increase since the beginning of the pandemic. Cumulative recovered, as of November 28, 2020: 1,929** The cumulative numbers posted on Mondays include the data from Sunday and Monday. Recovered numbers are being posted as received. The Michigan Department of Corrections is reporting as of 6:30 PM November 20, there are 2,063 confirmed positive cases at Jackson facilities and 267 confirmed positive staff cases. MDOC positive case numbers are cumulative. As of 8 AM November 25, there 57 persons at Henry Ford Allegiance Health being treated as inpatients for COVID-19. Note: Jackson County will post COVID-19 data daily by mid-afternoon, Monday-Saturday, keeping with the schedule established by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS). The cumulative numbers posted on Monday will include the data from Sunday and Monday. Recovered numbers are being posted as received. (November 27, 2020 3:07 PM) Michigan reported 4,273* coronavirus (COVID-19) positive test cases today, with the state reported total now at 341,941. The State of Michigan is reporting 172** COVID-19-related deaths today, with the state total at 8,933. *Note on cases (11/27/20): Today’s daily case count represents new referrals of confirmed cases to the MDSS since Wednesday, November 25th. Over the two days, Thursday and Friday, the average number of new confirmed cases is 8,581 per day. **The deaths announced today includes 108 deaths identified during a Vital Records review.
