Jackson County Cumulative Report: 9,198 COVID-19 Positive Cases and 214 Deaths
(February 25, 2021 12:00 PM) The Jackson County Health Department released the COVID-19 positive numbers for Jackson County. As of 12:00 PM today, there are 9,198 positive cases (cumulative), and 214 deaths (cumulative)*. There are 34 new cases and 3 new deaths since yesterday’s report. Cumulative recovered, as of February 25: 8,463** The cumulative numbers posted on Mondays include the data from Sunday and Monday. Recovered numbers are being posted as received. The Michigan Department of Corrections is reporting as of 4:00 PM February 19, there are 4,529 confirmed positive cases at Jackson facilities and 578 confirmed positive staff cases. MDOC positive case numbers are cumulative. As of 8 AM February 23, there are 15 persons at Henry Ford Allegiance Health being treated as inpatients for COVID-19. Note: Jackson County will post COVID-19 data daily by mid-afternoon, Monday-Saturday, keeping with the schedule established by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS). American Neighbor Film Event. Spring Arbor University invites you to join us this Thursday, Feb. 25 from 7-9 pm for a virtual viewing of the short film, “American Neighbor: A Courageous Conversation about Race in America,” hosted by Simon Greer and Kevin Brown, SAU Chief Diversity Officer. Two current Spring Arbor students, Elizabeth Stewart and Noah Austin, and alum Tina Grace ’20 participated in this endeavor. A group traveled down the Mississippi River, stopping in 9 cities to have conversations about race in America. The film will be followed by conversations exploring how you can engage and have an impact.
