Jackson District Library Bookmobile Coloring Contest. How would you decorate the JDL Bookmobile? Stop by any branch starting August 1 to pick up a coloring sheet. Get creative and color or decorate the bookmobile any way you’d like. Return your coloring sheet to your branch by August 31 to be displayed. Winners for each branch will be contacted on September 7 and receive a giant Crayola art set. You can also download and print off the coloring sheet here. Upcoming Events: September 1 Cleaning Up the MLK Equality Trail. Join volunteers from People for the Parks and Trails as we get together to clean up the MLK Equality Trail! This is Jackson's main pedestrian trail that goes from Downtown Jackson to the Falling Waters Trail. Litter is a known problem along this trail, so we believe picking up trash will help this busy trail look its best! Join us at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 1. Volunteers will meet at New Leaf Park, which is located at 1930 Fourth St. If the parking lot is full, park on nearby Park Road. The time commitment is expected to be around 1 hour. Equipment will be provided by the Parks and Recreation Dept. Email peoplefortheparksjackson@gmail.com…
