POSTPONED to Tuesday, May 31 at 12 p.m. All are welcome are invited to attend a tree dedication event that recognizes Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. On Wednesday, May 25 at 12:15 p.m., Mayor Daniel Mahoney will join the Asian American and Pacific Islander community by dedicating a cherry blossom tree at Elnora Moorman Plaza, at 152 E High St, Jackson. The dedication event will also feature the reading of a Mayoral proclamation, traditional cherry blossom poem reading, and a recognition of Jackson's Asian and Pacific American community. Elnora Moorman Plaza is located at 152 E. High Street. Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month is celebrated every May across the nation.
