(May 28, 2024 11:12 AM ET) Get a head start on college this summer with the new, revised Ready, Set, Jet! Summer Bridge Program. This program offers an introduction to college, help in math and English, all free of charge and in a schedule that can still fit your summer plans! Ready, Set, Jet! is a summer bridge program that offers high school graduates a smooth transition into college. This 7-week program running June 11 through Aug. 2 at Jackson College provides an introduction to college life, along with essential math and English preparation - all at no cost. Attend class Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to noon, with breakfast starting at 8 a.m. and lunch available starting at noon. Costs for the program, including tuition, fees, textbooks, breakfast, and lunch, will be fully covered by grant funds from the Michigan Academic Catch-Up Program. Participants can earn three college credits by completing the Life Pathways Seminar, SEM 140, a freshman-year course to help students develop essential skills for success in college and explore careers to select an academic program of study.
