(5-17-2025, 5:30PM): It was a much cooler weather day on Saturday, but rain was mostly avoided at the 2025 ‘Al Glick Classic’ baseball and softball tournaments across Jackson County. Here are the results from Saturday’s action:
BASEBALL
FIRST ROUND
Reading 6, Jackson 5
Onsted 6, Concord 4
Hudson 2, Jonesville 1
Lumen Christi 2, Quincy 0 – Kash Kalahar led the Titans with two hits. LC scored one run in both the 2nd and 3rd inning for the only scoring.
SEMIFINALS
Onsted 20, Reading 0
Lumen Christi 13, Hudson 1 – The Titans scored eight runs in the 4th inning to dominate the semifinal victory. Four different players for LC tallied two hits, and JJ Brown earned the pitching win.
CHAMPIONSHIP:
Lumen Christi 7, Onsted 0 – Lumen scored four runs in the 5th inning to help win the championship game at Jackson High School. #3 Kash Kalahar batted three hits with two RBIs to lead the Titans. Timmy Crowley earned the pitching win and LC improved to 22-7 overall.

FIRST ROUND
Quincy 7, Onsted 1
Hudson 19, Concord 3
Columbia Central 19, Jackson 0 – Freshman Leelyn Brown batted 2-for-2 with 5 RBIs to lead the Golden Eagles. Hailey Wetherby threw a no-hitter in the 3-inning mercy rule.
Lumen Christi 16, Reading 4 – Lily Ganton dominated for the Titans, batting 4-for-4 with 5 RBIs.
SEMIFINALS
Columbia Central 9, Quincy 2 – Hailey Wetherby batted 3-for-4 with an RBI to lead CC, and four other Golden Eagles batted two hits.
Lumen Christi 8, Hudson 1 – Four different Titans tallied at least two hits, and Ollie Powers earned the pitching victory.
CHAMPIONSHIP
Columbia Central 4, Lumen Christi 0 – CC scored all four runs in the 4th inning to win a defensive championship game, the Golden Eagles could only muster four hits. Hailey Wetherby struck out eight batters and earned the pitching win for the Eagles. Lily Ganton had all three hits for the Titans. Columbia Central improves to 26-6 overall and will play at Grass Lake on Wednesday for the conference championship.
