The Potter Center at Jackson College will add two shows to their season, the band 38 Special and comedian Gallagher.
38 Special will replace the band Survivor on Saturday, April 22, 2017, at 7 p.m. After more than three decades together, 38 Special continues to bring their signature blast of southern rock to more than 100 cities a year, wowing audience members by their explosive performance power. Their many Gold and Platinum album awards stand in testament to the endurance of a legendary powerhouse.
With sales in excess of 20 million, most associate the band with their arena-rock pop smashes, “Hold On Loosely,” “Rockin’ Into the Night,” “Caught Up in You,” “Fantasy Girl,” “If I’d Been the One,” “Back Where You Belong,” “Chain Lightnin’,” “Second Chance” and more – timeless hits that remain a staple at radio, immediately recognizable from the first opening chord, and paving the way to their present-day touring regimen. Tickets for 38 Special are $45, $40 or $32.
gallagher-poster-2Gallagher brings his Jokes On You Comedy Tour – his farewell tour — to the Potter Center at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 27, 2017. The Sledge-O-Matic wielding, watermelon-smashing funnyman is listed by Comedy Central as one of the top 100 greatest stand-up comedians of all time. He grew in popularity over the 1970s and 1980s and did 14 comedy specials for Showtime which have been rebroadcast numerous times. Appearing with Gallagher will be Artie Fletcher and Bob Nelson. Tickets for Gallagher are $35, $30 and $20.
Tickets are available from the Potter Center website, www.jccmi.edu/pottercenter. Or, call (517)796.8600, or stop by the Potter Center Box Office from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Friday.
