ALBION, MI – Albion College placed Zach Brigham, Nick Emery, Adam Hahn and Chris Jakubik on the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame Hampshire Honor Society. The Britons are among 817 players from 278 colleges to be selected for this honor.
A Concord native, Brigham was a member of Albion’s athletic training education program. He achieved all-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association second team recognition as a receiver and punter for the 2014 season. He hauled in 77 passes during the 2014 season, good for the single-season mark at Albion. His receptions went for 612 yards and nine touchdowns. Brigham punted for a 35.3-yard average, but 15 of his 46 kicks forced opponents to take possession inside the 20-yard line.
To qualify for the Hampshire Honor Society a player must be a starter or a significant contributor in one’s last year of eligibility. The student-athlete must also achieve a 3.2 cumulative grade point average throughout entire course of undergraduate study and meet all NCAA/NAIA-mandated progress towards degree requirements.
