Join the Jackson Community Concert Band for a special fall concert, “Picture Perfect,” at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22 in the Harold Sheffer Music Hall, Potter Center.

Program for this concert includes two pieces relating to art, “Scenes from ‘The Louvre’” by Norman Dello Joio and “Pictures at an Exhibition” by Modeste Moussorgsky. Visual images of the works of art that inspired the music will be projected over the band during the performance.

Also on the program will be the “Children’s March, ‘Over the Hills and Far Away’” by Percy Aldridge Grainger, and two movements of “Symphonic Dances,” by Yosuke Fukuda, the “Renaissance Dances” and “Tango.”

The Jackson Community Concert Band is comprised of Jackson College students and community members, under the direction of Conductor Ronald L. Douglass. The band rehearses Tuesday nights in Potter Center, under Douglass’s direction.

Concert is free and all are welcome!
