The Center for Family Health is throwing a Birthday Bash on Thursday, August 4th, and is inviting the community to the festivities.
To celebrate the Center’s 25th Anniversary, 16 new bicycles for children and adults will be given away, as well as tickets to Cedar Point. Games and fun family activities are planned, and healthy snacks and birthday cake will be served to guests.
The Birthday Bash will be 3-5 p.m. in the parking lot adjacent to the Center for Family Health main facility at 505 N. Jackson Street.
Festivities will start with a brief program featuring dignitaries who will mark the occasion with a few words. Celebration activities will begin at 3:20 pm and include a moon walk, a water balloon contest, ring toss and corn hole games, hula hoops and jump rope, chalk and sidewalk coloring, and a table for coloring and drawing.
“We are so excited to be celebrating 25 years”, said Molly Kaser, CEO of the Center for Family Health. “We appreciate the support from the community and look forward to a great celebration.”
The mission of the Center for Family Health is to open the door to health care for all, so the Birthday Bash will also offer walk-in access to health care.
Guests who need primary medical care or dental care at the Center’s beautiful new Dental Clinic can sign up as new patients and see a provider that day, regardless of insurance or ability to pay.
Thanks to the generous support of Molina Healthcare of Michigan, several bicycles will be given away to adults and children during the festivities.
“We are proud to be celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the Center for Family Health”, said Heidi McGlinnen, Director of Community Engagement for Molina Healthcare of Michigan. “We look forward to many more years of partnering with the Center to help promote access to health care.”
The Center for Family Health opened its doors in 1991 as a prenatal clinic then called the Center for Healthy Beginnings. Backed by community and government support, it has grown into a vital part of the health-care fabric in Jackson, now providing care at eight locations and providing jobs to more than 210 dedicated employees.
