CP Federal Credit Union has been awarded a 2016 Top Workplaces honor by the Detroit Free Press. CP Federal has received Top Workplace designations in for the last three years running.
“We are honored to be recognized as a Top 100 Workplace for 2016. Employee feedback and engagement is key for any organization that wants be considered one of the best in class and the fact we were able to receive this commendation for the third year in a row shows we are moving in the right direction, “stated John Crist, President and CEO of CP Federal.
Employers receiving this designation participated in an employee survey which measured a variety of company qualities including work environment, values, leadership, advancement opportunities, communication, compensation and benefits among others. CP Federal Credit Union received a 96% completion rate on the survey taken by its employees. The results and feedback helped CP Federal secure the number 21 spot in the mid-size category.
“The Top Workplaces award is not a popularity contest. And oftentimes, people assume it’s all about fancy perks and benefits.” says Doug Claffey, CEO of WorkplaceDynamics. “But to be a Top Workplace, organizations must meet our strict standards for organizational health. And who better to ask about work life than the people who live the culture every day—the employees. Time and time again, our research has proven that what’s most important to them is a strong belief in where the organization is headed, how it’s going to get there, and the feeling that everyone is in it together. Claffey adds, “Without this sense of connection, an organization doesn’t have a shot at being named a Top Workplace.”
“CP has been very intentional about the culture we promote, and employees have been integral in developing a culture based on the core values it reflects – including a commitment to the community and each other,” commented Heather Harback, Director of Organizational Development. “Employee feedback is valued at CP, and employees can see us using that data to build strategies that continue to move our culture forward. We are committed to fostering an environment where everyone enjoys coming to work and where our members can see that joy as experienced through outstanding service provided to them.” Harback added.
