Girls soccer
Northwest 3, Charlotte 1: The Mounties (7-9-1) winner will play Western on Wednesday at Charlotte beginning at 7 p.m. in the D-2 district semifinal. Western defeated Northwest earlier in the season, 3-1.
Track and field
MITCA D-2 Meet at Fowlerville: Western High School finished 12th in the meet featuring teams who finished first or second at regional competitions. Justice Prins finished eighth in the 800-meter run (2:33); Anna Burk was third in the 300-meter hurdles (48.7); the Panthers were third in the 400-meter relay (52.33); fifth in the 800-meter relay (1:50); sixth in the 1,600-meter relay (4:21); and seventh in the 3,200-meter relay (10:48); Kayda Herrick tied for fourth in the high jump (5-0); and Emma Berdiner finished eighth in the long jump (14-8.75).

JCWGA Spring Thaw: Youth prevailed at Cascades Golf Course as Alissa Fish won the Jackson County Womens Golf Association Spring Thaw with a 1-under-par 71. Kamryn Shannon finished second with a 72 and Natalie Kulka shot a 73. Ashley Hilderly won the first flight with an 82.
