Jackson 71, Wayne Memorial 53: Savon Campbell scored 18 points and Tavion Tanner added 16 points for Jackson.  

Napoleon 58,  Lakewood 43: DeVonta Habern scored 24 points and Trent Jester added 19 points as the Pirates won its GLAC/Cascades Conference Challenge game at Olivet College.

Girls basketball

Kalamazoo Central 52, Jackson 35

Jackson Christian 40, Livingston Christian 24: Maggie Hollowood scored 21 points and pulled down nine rebounds and Kayley McCollum added seven points and eight steals for Jackson Christian.

Wrestling

Grover Invitational at Concord: Nathan Fritz of Concord finished third at 106; A.J. Fielder of Hanover-Horton won the title at 120 and teammate Jason Bearden was fourth; David Fielder of Hanover-Horton placed second at 126; Gavin Berkeypile finished third at 132; and Colin Thompson of Concord placed fourth at 138.  Hanover-Horton finished eighth with 62 points and Concord was 11th scoring 25 points. 

Springport at Lansing Eastern: Caleb Wendt was third at 165 pounds for the Spartans; Saige Paterson was fourth at 106; teammate Owen Thomas was third at 113 pounds; Trenton Hamilton of Springport placed third at 120 pounds;  David Becker won the title at 126 pounds for the Spartans; and Chase Caudill was third in the consolation bracket at 144 pounds.  

Vandercook Lake at Blissfield: Dallas Swaenepoel of Vandercook Lake finished fifth at 112 pounds. 

Bowling

Hanover-Horton Invitational: The Napoleon High School boys’ bowling team and Hanover-Horton girls’ team won the Bowling Stones Early Bird Baker Tournament today at University Lanes in Albion. Napoleon defeated Michigan Center in the boys’ final. The Comets defeated Jonesville in the girls’ final. The tournament featured five team bowlers combining for one Baker Game score. 

Hockey

Mattawan 5, Lumen Christi 3: The Titans jumped out to a 2-0 lead, but were outscored 5-1 after that. Nash Hanchett, Wyatt Long, and Brett Terry scored goals for Lumen Christi. Mattawan scored two power-play goals midway through the third period following a 5-minute major penalty on the Titans. 

Eastside 5, Jackson 2: Aiden Chappell and Kullen Miotke each scored one goal and one assist for Jackson United.
