The Jackson County Fair has announced a night of rock music will be on the Fair’s entertainment lineup this summer. Two Top Ten bands, Theory of a Deadman and Pop Evil will share the stage at the Jackson County Fair Grandstand on Tuesday, August 7th at 7 PM.
Theory of a Deadman has placed nine songs in the Top 10 on the rock charts, including the Number One hits “Bad Girlfriend,” “Lowlife,” “So Happy,” and “Angel.” Theory’s 2014 album, Savages, hit the Top Ten on the Hot 100 albums chart, along with the Alternative and Hard Rock charts. After 30 years of hearing his father play, singer and guitarist, Tyler Connolly, recently discovered his talent on the piano. This introduced a new vision for Connolly’s songwriting, and a new direction for the band; one that focused more on the lyrics and a melodic sound. Theory’s latest album, “Wake Up Call,” provides a surplus of new sounds for fans to delve into, including successful Number One Mainstream rock hit, “RX (medicate).”
Pop Evil, hailing from North Muskegon, MI, has had four top ten rock albums, as well as five number one singles between 2013 and 2018, the most recent being “Waking Lions” from their self-titled album Pop Evil, which released in February 2018. After incorporating metal, alternative, hard rock and even electronic music into their sound, the band has experienced a “musical rebirth,” that is evident in their album, Pop Evil.
With newer melodic rhythms and charting rock hits, rock fans will not want to miss the opportunity to rock out with Theory of a Deadman and Pop Evil at the Jackson County Fair this August. Tickets go on sale Saturday, April 14th at 9:00 a.m. Tickets can be purchased at the Jackson County Fair Box Office, etix.com or can be charged by calling (800) 517-3849 or (517) 788-4405.
