Jackson 58, Redford Union 57: The Vikings pulled out a win during the LaVelle Guess Showcase on Saturday. Koronnis Davis scored 18 points, Sherquan Wilson added 13 points, and Darrion Weller tallied 10 points for the Vikings (2-0).
Competitive Cheer
Spring Arbor University Invitational: Hanover-Horton High School finished second (633), Columbia Central was fourth (556), Western was seventh (337), and Grass Lake placed ninth (307). Jonesville won the event with 634.
Bowling
Grass Lake 28, Hanover-Horton 2: Brice Sandoval rolled a 249, Max Shafran finished with a 238, and Cayden DeWitt rolled a 226 for Grass Lake.
Hockey
Jackson United 4, Cadillac 0: Jackson United earned its second win of the season with a road win at Cadillac. Aiden Chappell, Nick Baumgardner, Hayden Haynes, and Jack Whyte scored for JU. Jonah Hughes earned the shutout in goal for Jackson United (2-4 overall).

Swimming
Cereal City Relays: Jackson High School finished fifth out of 18 teams at the relays. Jackson won the 200-yard medley relay in 1:50.53 with Logan McKinney, Logan Koszegi, Anthony Kulka, and Cooper Narkiewicz. The Vikings were also second in the 400-yard IM Relay in 4:19 with McKinney, Grayson Deane, Bryce Behncke, and Blake Hetherington.
College Athletic Events
Women’s Basketball
Jackson College 94, Lake Michigan 50: Kaylona Butler and Zoie Bamm each scored 18 points for Jackson College in the rout. Kiyla Brooks finished with 10 rebounds, Michelle McGee dished six assists, and Dharyauna Pierce added five steals for Jackson College (7-1). JC will travel to Kellogg Community College Wednesday for a 5:30 tipoff.
Spring Arbor 72, Grace (Ind) 67: Spring Arbor University outscored Grace 19-10 in the fourth quarter to pull out the victory. Alana Nelson scored 18 points, Alize Tripp added 16 points, and Alayna Kulesza finished with 14 points for SAU (7-2).
Men’s Basketball
Jackson College 87, Lake Michigan 75: Antonio King scored 27 points to lead the Jets to the win. Jo Coleman scored 18 points, and Savonn Campbell and Xavier Ford-Belton each scored a dozen points for Jackson United. Ford-Belton also added four assists and five blocked shots for JC. Jackson (5-2) will travel to Kellogg Community College Wednesday for a 7:30 contest.
Grace College 70, Spring Arbor 56: The Cougars lost to the No. 1 ranked team in the country. Gabe Newhof scored 22 points and Kevyn Robertson added 15 points for the Cougars (7-3).
Bowling
Spring Arbor University at Crossroads No. 2 (South Bend): Spring Arbor University won women’s bowling team won another event scoring 6,249 pins. Mikayla Ponce finished fourth and Emily Pepper was fifth for SAU. SAU finished second in the men’s event with 7,001 pins. Cody Hall finished second overall averaging nearly 214 pins.
Women’s Soccer NAIA National Championship Semifinal: The semifinal match was moved to Monday due to poor field conditions and rain. Spring Arbor faces Cumberlands (KY) in the semifinal at Foley, Alabama.
