Boys Basketball

Battle Creek Academy 37, Jackson Christian 29: Isaac Lanham scored 16 points and pulled down six rebounds and Aaden Breton added eight points and eight rebounds. 

Leslie 63, Lansing Christian 54: Hunter Coltrain scored 12 points and Jayden Colby added 11 points for Leslie (8-14). 

Columbia Central 54, Clinton 48: Derek Sanders scored 17 points and Conner Cole added 12 points for CCHS.

Concord 69, Union City 52: Concord High School finished the Big Eight Conference season with a perfect 12-0 record with the victory. Mekhi Wingfield scored 26 points and Connor Stevens added 20 points for Concord (17-5 overall).

Boys Bowling Regionals

Division 2 at City Limits: Northwest High School qualified for the Michigan High School Athletic Association D-2 state finals by scoring 3,432 for eight Baker games and two individual games at the regional tournament. The Mounties bowled the highest individual total (1,047 for five bowers) to finish second behind Tecumseh. Western High School finished eighth (2,790) and Jackson placed ninth (2,544) in the team competition. The D-2 state finals will start Friday, March 1, at Century Bowl in Waterford. 

Girls Bowling Regionals

Division 2 at City Limits: Northwest High School finished third in the D-2 regionals at City Limits Bowling Alley in Mason. The Mounties finished with a score of 2,849 for eight Baker games and two individual games. Jackson High School finished eighth (2,238) and Western was 10th (2,165). Due to the increase in the number of bowling venues, the top two teams advance instead of the top three as in previous years.

Division 3 at Royal Scot (Lansing): The Columbia Central High School Facebook page is reporting CCHS won its first regional bowling title. No scores were available on MHSAA.com as of 10 p.m. Thursday night. 

Gymnastics

Jackson Area Gymnastics 138.025, Western 129.375: The two teams celebrated alumni gymnastics with uniforms from each of their respective schools. Addi Richmond won the all-around (35.875), the floor exercise (9.2), and the beam (9.35) for JAG. Melody Placeway won the bars (8.75), and Brooklyn Daly took first in the vault (8.8) for Jackson.
