(July 28, 2024 3:02 PM ET) The summer of winning tournaments continues for local golfer Greg Zeller.
Zeller shot a 69 on Sunday at Sharp Park Golf Course to win the Joe Fiero Senior Championship.
He won the tournament by two shots over Tom Butterfield (138), Steve Maddalena (139), Todd Marston (141), and Mike Raymond (142).
Zeller was steady on the day with three birdies and one bogey in his Sunday round.
Butterfield tallied six birdies on the day, but a pair of double bogeys spelled doom in his effort to win another major championship.
Marston finished with the low round of the day with a 4-under-par 67 and Maddalena shot 68 on Sunday.
Nate LaZebnik won the 60-plus championship with a two day total of 144. Jerry Fitzpatrick was second (147) and Mark DeNato finished third (152).
