Girls State Golf
Division 2 at Bedford Valley Golf Course: Kaia Bruneel shot a 93 at the Division 3 state finals at Bedford Valley Golf Course. Bruneel pulled it together with a 42 on the back nine. The tournament concludes tomorrow with a 10 a.m. start.
Division 4 at Forest Akers Golf Course: Columbia Central High School is third in the team competition after shooting 376 at Forest Akers Golf Course near the campus of Michigan State University. Concord is 14th (434), Lumen Christi is 16th (462), and East Jackson 17th (471). Logan Bentley of CCHS leads the tournament with a 2-over-par 74 after the first round. Anna McCubbins of Napoleon is fifth after scoring an 81 and Kelsey Fausz is 13th after a 93. Marrisa Berro of CCHS is 15th (94) and Hannah Stimer of Concord is 23rd (97). The tournament concludes Saturday with 18 holes starting at 10 a.m.
