Grand River Winter Farmer’s Market.  A year-round community-driven market prioritizing fresh local products and Michigan made goods. Get into the swing of 2025 and build strong reading habits with a reading challenge!  Bundle Up With Books runs during the month of January and participants can read 4 hours to receive their choice of a Jackson District Library winter hat or maze pen, and be entered into a drawing to win a $50 Visa gift card. Bowling Strike Out for Habitat.  Join Habitat for Humanity on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 10am, for a fun, 2hr event. A $100 ticket will get you 5 bowlers, shoes, and lots of fun. 2025 MLK Dinner Celebration:  The Power in Unity. Jackson College & The Office of Inclusive Excellence present the 2025 MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR. DINNER CELEBRATION: The Power in Unity. A Night with Elvis featuring Chris Ayotte.  Dust off your blue suede shoes and prepare to be All Shook Up! Grand River Brewery and Tiki Sam’s Pizza are thrilled to announce “A Night with Elvis,” a special evening celebrating the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll. Dungytreei Heritage Foundation’s Second Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Birthday Celebration.  3 PM. King Center. 1107 Adrian Street, Jackson.  Theme: Unity in the Comm-Unity Come together for an unforgettable celebration featuring inspiring speakers, soul-stirring performances, and a shared sense of togetherness to uplift our community!  Highlights Include: Keynote Speakers: Maurice Imhoff, Pastor Michael Cain, Terry Thomas, A’vion Johnson. This event is family friendly event with live music, silent auction, games & prizes, & drag entertainment! Sunday, January 19th, 2025 from 1-5pm. Doors open at 12pm with performances beginning at 1pm.  Our goal is to help mitigate the struggles of our local homeless population through a benefit variety show.
