(June 24, 2026 8:02 PM ET ) American 1 Credit Union invites families and community members to the A1CU Community Fair, a free event that brings family fun and financial learning together. The event will be held Thursday, June 25, from 6-8 p.m. at the American 1 Event Center at Keely Park, 128 W. Ganson St.

Presented in partnership with Junior Achievement of Michigan’s Edge, the A1CU Community Fair will bring together more than 20 local organizations for an evening of hands-on activities, free food, giveaways, and easy-to-access resources, making it an easy and enjoyable way for families to spend a summer night together.

“Financial wellness starts with understanding everyday choices, and we believe those conversations should be accessible, welcoming, and even fun,” said Kelly Grygiel, Vice President of Communications at American 1 Credit Union. “The A1CU Community Fair is about meeting people where they are, offering real tools and real resources, and strengthening our community through knowledge and connection.”

During the event, attendees will be transported into a fun, interactive lifestyle game that turns everyday money decisions into a hands-on experience, from choosing housing and transportation to paying for groceries and other daily needs. Using technology, participants will travel from station to station, make choices together, and discover how small decisions can add up to big impacts on a household budget.

“We have seen tremendous success in this interactive budget game in our local schools, and thanks to our partnership with American 1 Credit Union, we can now bring this game to the entire community during the A1CU Community Fair,” said Connie Poisson, President of the Junior Achievement of Michigan’s Edge. “We invite families to join us not only for a night of fun, but also to gain access to financial wellness skills and resources they can use immediately and for years to come.”

Attendees can enjoy a summer evening filled with free food and drinks, Kona Ice, giveaways, and a wide variety of family-friendly activities. With something for all ages, the A1CU Community Fair offers a fun, relaxed way to spend a summer night together while learning something new.

Admission is free and open to the public.

To help make the event more accessible, the Jackson Area Transportation Authority (JATA) will provide free rides to and from the event center throughout the evening. JATA will meet and drop off guests at the Martin Luther King Jr. Recreation Center at 1107 Adrian Street in Jackson, Mich.

Transportation begins at 5:30 p.m., with the last ride back to the recreation center at 8:30 p.m.

American 1 Credit Union was awarded a Community Enrichment Grant from the Michigan Credit Union Foundation (MCUF) to support the launch the A1CU Community Fair. The event is also supported by local sponsors: Goodwill of Southern Michigan, Consumers Energy, JTV,  Walton Insurance Group, Craft Agency, Experian and Allied Solutions.
