Albion College quarterback Dominic Bona hauled in another award Tuesday when he was voted to the D3football.com all-North Region second team.
The senior from Pinckney, Mich., who was selected the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association’s Offensive Most Valuable Player in November, ranks among the NCAA Division III leaders in most statistical categories this season, including passing touchdowns where he is seventh with a school record tying 33. He is also ranked 15th in total offense with 3,314 yards, 15th with 2,859 passing yards, 18th in completions per game (averaging 24.3), 25th in passing yards per game, and 22nd with a .664 completion percentage.
“I believe Dominic was the most dominant player in our conference,” Albion Head Coach Craig Rundle said. “He was a big part of our success.”
Albion gained a share of its 36th MIAA championship by posting a 5-1 record against league rivals. The Britons finished the season 9-2 overall.
