The Michigan Credit Union League has announced that American 1 Credit Union has been named Outstanding Credit Union of the Year for credit unions of their asset size.
Outstanding Credit Union of the Year award winners are selected based on achievement in community involvement and service, financial strength and performance, and advocacy and public relations. Finalists are reviewed by the MCUL Awards Committee, who propose the winners to the MCUL Board of Directors to be ratified.
In a statement on their website, MCUL President/CEO Dave Adams said, “One of the most enjoyable opportunities for an association is its awards process. This year’s recipients are great examples of individual and organizational excellence and the unique commitment to the credit union mission.”
