The Jackson County Fair announced today the winner of NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” Season 12, Darci Lynne Farmer, will appear at this year’s fair. 13-year-old Darci Lynne and her ventriloquist act is the first grandstand show to be announced for this summer’s fair.
Darci Lynne began performing as a ventriloquist at the age of ten, winning several local and state competitions in her native Oklahoma. During her audition in the most watched season of”America’s Got Talent” last year, she received the “Golden Buzzer”, sending her straight to the quarterfinals. Her winning final performance of “Anything You Can Do,” with her idol and mentor, Terry Fator, collected over 21 million views on AGT’s YouTube channel, more than any other finals performance in the history of the show.
With her success on America’s Got Talent, Darci Lynne has made appearances on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Jeff Dunham’s video, “The Haunted House on Dunham Hill”, a Terry Fator performance at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Tulsa and on A Very Pentatonix Christmas TV special. The act has been an opener for Fergie at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas on New Year’s Eve and her tour dates have been selling out in a matter of minutes.
Today’s youngest comedic ventriloquist and rising star, Darci Lynne Farmer, together with “Petunia,” “Oscar,” and the rest of her “family” of characters perform live at the Jackson County Fair Monday, August 6 at 6 PM. Tickets go on sale Saturday, January 27th at 9:00 a.m. Tickets can be purchased at the Jackson County Fair Box Office, etix.com or can be charged by calling (800) 517-3849 or (517) 788-4405.
