AT&T Expands 4G LTE to Jackson

Michigan AT&T President Jim Murray updated viewers on the continuing expansion on 4G LTE wireless service.  Jackson is one of 50 national markets experiencing the upgrades offering faster service for voice and data.  AT&T has made several significant financial contributions to community initiatives and non-profits this past year.  One of Jim's personal involvements has been Autism support and advocacy in the state.  Other guests:  Andy Woell with Builder Walk, General Materials;  Jackson's Mayor Jason Smith;  Toys of the Month with Phil Wrzesinski;  Singer/Guitarist John Louis Good (performing Friday evening at the Jackson Coffee Company);  Tim Bos, Michigan Auctioneering Championship;  Rod Malloy, Executive Director, Dahlem.

Chili Cookoff

The K105.3 2014 Chili Cookoff is this Sunday at the American 1 Events Center at the Jackson County Fairgrounds.  Sue Goldsen and Shannon Parham from Jackson Radio Works invited viewers to attend and enjoy some great chili prepared by area chefs and teams.  The JTV Sports Crew will be headed up by Jim Francis and Larry Jacobson and offering "Three Point Afterburn Chili".  Admission is $5.  Other guests:  Jackson Police Officer Shane LaPorte;  Audrey Dean, Kids 'N Stuff Children's Museum;  Rotary Club Student Exchange Club with Rotarian Kirk Hoffman and exchange student Aditi Desai;  Bruce Van Eyck, Big Brothers Big Sisters;  Pet of the Week with Sue Lovell, Cascades Humane Society.

Napoleon vs Columbia Central

Kiwanis Golf Classic

The 28th Annual Kiwanis Chili Golf Charity Classic will be held this Saturday, January 25th at Hankerd Hills Golf Course.  Tee times begin at 9am.  Chili, hot dogs and brats will be served and golfers have a chance to win trophies and cash.  Kiwanis President Glenn Pascoe and member Dick Hitch encourage sign-ups by calling 517-841-6069.  Other guests:  Cindy Lyons and Kim Medlock, Jackson Area Career Center;  U.S. Senator Carl Levin, speaking at Village of Spring Meadows;  John Crist and Sarah Ermatinger, CP Federal Credit Union;  Highlights from Saturday's Martin Luther King, Jr. event at Jackson College;  Meet the JTV Staff with Claudia Bovee;  Big Brothers Big Sisters Match of the Month with Matt Miller and Kaiden.

Chucky Buckles: Investigator of Alternative Destinations

People are always asking Chucky why it’s soooo easy to defeat him when it comes to picking games. His answer is simple: Chucky’s knowledge of future events is so profound he has to hold back in order to avoid a breakdown in basic social services. NAPOLEON @ MICHIGAN CENTER (GIRLS): The Cardinals bring in former Lions coach Jim Schwartz to provide some inspiration, but he angers all the players by slapping them roughly on the back. Also, it’s reiterated that he really wasn’t that good of a coach and thus has nothing to say. PICK: MICHIGAN CENTER HANOVER-HORTON @ EAST JACKSON (GIRLS): The Comets use teams of sled dogs to make the trek east for the game but are derailed when a descendant of Balto leads the way and the entire squad ends up in Anchorage. (Google ‘Balto’ kids.) PICK: EAST JACKSON MASON @ NORTHWEST (GIRLS): The Lady Mounties play in one of the toughest conferences in the state but do so armed with delicious salted pretzels.
