Last year: 3-6 overall

First-year head Coach Ken Bradley takes over the Leslie High School football program.

He played and coached college football at Olivet College and has experienced stints at Newberry, Alma College, and Okemos.

This is his first year as a head coach.

Bradley has a simple philosophy … “play hard, have fun, and win some football games.”

Bradley is from the Upper Peninsula and was a four-year wide receiver at Olivet College. It may take him a game or two to realize who the rivals are for Leslie.

“From what I keep hearing, Stockbridge is a big rival,” Bradley said during the JTV Media Day. “But Dansville is the first game and will be our first game together as a team.”

Key players from Leslie are Mason Tow (quarterback/linebacker), Ethan Kaimon (receiver/defensive back), Hunter Coltrain (lineman), Jayden Colby (receiver/defensive back), Max Fourman (end/kicker), Christian Reed (running back/defensive back), Jayden Jensen (linebacker), and Austin Shroufe (lineman).

Tow may be the strongest player on the team bench pressing 300 pounds and squatting 400 pounds.

Kaleb Cox (receiver/defensive back) and Brogan Dodge (end) are two players the Blackhawks will count on this season.

Leslie is expected to run the power pistol offense and a 4-2-5 defense.

The Blackhawks expect approximately 20 players at the varsity level and the same numbers at the junior varsity level.
