As part of the 2016 “Activate Jackson: Lighter, Quicker, Cheaper” program, the Jackson Area Association of REALTORS is seeking applications from artists to complete a mural along the Grand River under the Farmer’s Market. This is a large space that will require the artist to use unique techniques to overcome the inconvenience of the location. Artist will be paid $1,000 plus reimbursement for a portion of expenses.

The notification of top mural choices will be announced in September and chosen murals will be submitted to the Jackson Public Arts Commission for approval on September 20, 2016.
Mural must be completed by October 31, 2016.
Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and Press Event on November 4, 2016.
