(June 12, 2021 9:06 AM) Jackson County Parks will open the Cascades Splash Pad for the season on Saturday after receiving the necessary permits from the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE). The splash pad at The Cascades is open Monday-Saturday from 11 a.m.-7 p.m., and Sundays from 12-6. The Falls are open 8-11 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. Regular Admission Rate (ages 4 and up) is $2.00, Children’s Rate (ages 3 & under) free. Regular Cascades admission rates take effect at 7 p.m.
“We’re excited to open for the season,” said Deputy Parks Director Kyle Lewis. “With the school year ending, and the hotter weather, it’s perfect timing. And, it’s the perfect family-friendly opportunity to beat the heat.”
The splash pad is situated in a fenced-in area on the south side of the historic Cascade Falls in Sparks Foundation County Park. The zero-depth facility makes cooling off and playing in the water safe and fun for children of all ages, with more than a dozen water features. The splash pad includes lounge chairs, patio, and concessions. Season & family passes, and birthday party packages are available. For complete details, visit JacksonCountyParks.org.
