Extreme Dodge Jackson County Scoreboard February 15, 2024

Boys Basketball Grass Lake 48, Columbia Central 35: Jacob Collins had a monster game with 18 points and 13 rebounds for Grass Lake. Brayden Lape added 13 points for GLHS. Conner Cole scored 15 points and Derek Sanders finished with 13 points for CCHS.  Manchester 68, Vandercook Lake 49: The Flying Dutchmen earned a win over the Jayhawks in the Cascades Conference crossover contest at VCL.  Leslie 68, Addison 45: Jack Fossitt scored 16 points, Conner Marciniak scored 14 points, and Johnnie Johnson added 10 points for Leslie in the Cascades Conference crossover game. Jaxon Sword scored 14 points for Addison.  Hillsdale Academy 55, Jackson Christian 29: The Royals were within two points at halftime but Hillsdale outscored JCHS 17-3 in the third quarter to pull away. Isaac Lanham scored 10 points and Caleb Lanham added nine points for Jackson Christian.   Girls Basketball Concord 53, Bronson 45: The young Yellowjackets got it done at home. Both teams were tied with Springport in the Big Eight Conference heading into the contest. Collage Athletic Events Men’s Basketball Lawrence Tech 89, Spring Arbor University 85: Gabe Newhoff and Travis Grayson combined for nearly 60 of the Cougars’ 85 points in the home loss. Trey Cottingham dished seven assists for Spring Arbor (5-2).   On Deck for Nov. 15, 2023 Women’s College Basketball Grand Rapids Community College at Jackson College 5:30 p.m.  Kuyper at Spring Arbor University 7 p.m. Men’s College Basketball Grand Rapids Community College at Jackson College 7 p.m.

JCWGA Medal Play Tournament Continues Friday

By Jeff Steers JTV Sports (June 22, 2023 8:34 PM ET) Andrea Clark will take an 11-stroke lead into the final round of the Jackson County Womens Golf Association Medal Play tournament Friday at Hills’ Heart of the Lakes Golf Course in Brooklyn. Clark has a two day total of 142 in the championship flight on the par 69 course. Jackson High School graduate Natalie Kulka is second (153) and Laura McCully is third (155).  Barb Smith and Janice Haynes are tied for first (175) in the first flight and Clara Adams (212) leads Barb Worden (213) by a stroke in the second flight. Play resumes Friday at 8 a.m. in a shotgun start.  Here are the standings after two rounds of the tournament.
