Boys Basketball Quarterfinal At Ypsilanti Lincoln Riverview Gabriel Richard 58, Lumen Christi 44: The Titans fell in the Division 3 quarterfinal round at Lincoln Consolidated High School Tuesday. The Titans finished the season with a 22-5 record while Gabriel Richard improved to 23-3 and advanced to the Breslin Center on Thursday in the state semifinal round. It is the third time the two teams have met this season with LC winning the first one and GR taking the last two. Timmy Crowley scored 13 points and pulled down 10 rebounds and Kadale Williams finished with 11 points and two steals for the Titans.  College Athletic Events Softball Spring Arbor 5, Taylor University 3: The Cougars scored twice in the ninth inning to pull out the win. Emmalee Hamp finished with four hits for SAU (9-5).  Taylor University 7, Spring Arbor 6: The Cougars scored four times in the final inning but could not catch Taylor. Lexi Cain recorded three hits and Summer Ambler knocked in a pair of runs for SAU (9-6).  Baseball Spring Arbor 9, Grace Christian 6: The Cougars scored seven times in the third inning against Grace. Boys Basketball D-3 Regional Final The Lumen Christi Catholic High School boys basketball team defeated Laingsburg 53-47 in the regional final at home Tuesday. Kadale Williams scored 15 points - including 10 in the third period - Amarion Clay had a big second half with 11 points, and Lundon Hampton scored 10 points for the Titans. Kasen Burgess scored seven points and pulled down 10 rebounds and Timmy Crowley scored five points and had seven rebounds for LCCHS. Zander Woodruff of Laingsburg led all scorers with 30 points in the contest.  Lumen Christi advances to the quarterfinals Tuesday at Ypsilanti Lincoln to face Riverview Gabriel Richard. The game is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. according to the MHSAA. College Athletic Events Women’s Basketball NJCAA District Semifinal at Mott CC Jackson College women's basketball team defeated Bay College 73-57 Thursday at Mott Community College advancing to the District C final against Lansing Community College. The final is set to begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday.
