(April 26, 2021 3:18 PM) Michigan reported 6,524* coronavirus (COVID-19) positive test cases today, with the state reported total now at 825,844. Michigan is reporting 35 COVID-19-related deaths today with the state total at 17,324.  *Note on cases (04/26/21): Today's daily case count represents new referrals of confirmed cases to the MDSS since Saturday, April 24th.  Over the two days, Sunday and Monday, the average number of new confirmed cases is 3,262 per day. State Cumulative Total of Recovered COVID-19 Cases (as of 4/24/21): 626,254. This information is updated Monday through Saturday at 3 p.m., with COVID-19 results included as of 10 a.m.  Monday reports include Sunday data.  

(April 26, 2021 12:00 PM) The Jackson County Health Department released the COVID-19 positive numbers for Jackson County.  As of 12:00 PM today, there are 13,604 positive cases (cumulative), and 249 deaths (cumulative)*.     There are 89 new cases and 2 new deaths since Saturday’s report.   Cumulative recovered, as of April 24: 10,338** As of April 21, there are 55 persons at Henry Ford Allegiance Health being treated as inpatients for COVID-19.   The cumulative numbers posted on Mondays include the data from Sunday and Monday.  Recovered numbers are being posted as received.  The Michigan Department of Corrections is reporting as of 6:30 PM April 23, there are 5,302 confirmed positive cases at Jackson facilities and 669 confirmed positive staff cases.  MDOC positive case numbers are cumulative. Note:  Jackson County will post COVID-19 data daily by mid-afternoon, Monday-Saturday, keeping with the schedule established by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS). (April 26, 2021 11:37 AM) The Michigan Department of Corrections is reporting as of 6:30 PM April 23, there are 26,330 confirmed positive COVID-19 cumulative cases at facilities throughout the state.  Of that statewide total, 5,302 of the confirmed positive cases are at Jackson facilities.    Throughout the state corrections system, there are currently 296 active cases.  In Jackson, there are 2,542 confirmed positive COVID-19 cases at Charles E. Egeler Reception and Guidance Center,  at 1,218 Cooper Street Correctional Facility, 36 at Duane Waters Health Center, 961 at G. Robert Cotton Correctional Facility, and 545 at Parnall Correctional Facility.   All numbers are cumulative. Among staff, there are a total of 4,199 COVID-19 positive cases statewide.  In Jackson, there are 235 confirmed positive COVID-19 cases among employees at Charles E. Egeler Reception and Guidance Center, 158 at Cooper Street Correctional Facility, 142 at G. Robert Cotton Correctional Facility, 4 at Jackson Regional Warehouse, 5 at Jackson Regional Office, 2 at Jackson Training Center and 123 at Parnall Correctional Facility.  All numbers are cumulative.
