Jackson County Cumulative Report: 1,260 COVID-19 Positive Cases and 49 Deaths

(October 9, 2020 2:20 PM) The Jackson County Health Department released the COVID-19 positive numbers for Jackson County.  As of 2:20 PM today, there are 1,260 positive cases (cumulative), and 49 deaths (cumulative)*.     There are 25 new cases since yesterday’s report.    Cumulative recovered, as of October 9, 2020:  860** The Michigan Department of Corrections is reporting as of 6:50 PM October 2, there are 1,681 confirmed positive cases at Jackson facilities and 171 confirmed positive staff cases.  MDOC positive case numbers are cumulative. As of 12 PM October 8, there 15 persons at Henry Ford Allegiance Health being treated as inpatients for COVID-19. The Jackson County Township map and recovery data will be posted each Monday.   *These numbers do not reflect any cases or deaths identified through Michigan Department of Corrections.  Their numbers are listed under a separate category "Others" for the Michigan Statistics. **Recovered is defined as the number of persons with a confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis who are alive 30 days post-onset (or referral date if onset is not available). Henry Ford Health System Increases Minimum Wage to $15

(October 9, 2020 1:48 PM) Henry Ford Health System has announced it will raise the hourly compensation of full-time, part-time and contingent team members to a rate of $15 per hour. Michigan Reports 1,197 Coronavirus Cases Today, State Total Now 132,039

(October 8, 2020 3:50 PM) Michigan reported 1,197 coronavirus (COVID-19) positive test cases today, with the state reported total now at 132,039.  The State of Michigan is reporting 22* COVID-19-related deaths today, with the state total at 6,869.  *The deaths announced today include 20 deaths identified during a Vital Records review. See cumulative data page for more information. State Cumulative Total of Recovered COVID-19 Cases (as of 10/2/2020): 99,521.  This information is updated Monday through Saturday at 3 p.m., with COVID-19 results included as of 10 a.m.  Monday reports include Sunday data.
