I-94 Travel Advisory for Lane Closures
(August 31, 2021 8:34 AM) The Michigan Department of Transportation has issued a travel advisory for I-94 in Jackson County. The following closures will be in place on I-94 between Cooper Street and Airport Road. Portable changeable message sign (PCMS) will display the following messages: 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 31 The westbound I-94 right lane will be closed for temporary ramp paving. 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 1 The westbound I-94 right lane will be closed for temporary ramp paving. 6 a.m. - 3 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 2 The westbound I-94 right lane will be closed for new ramp openings at the westbound I-94 ramp to northbound US-127/M-50 and the southbound US-127 ramp to westbound I-94.

Michigan is reporting 27** COVID-19-related deaths today with the state total at 20,257. *Note on cases (08/30/2021): Today's daily case count represents new referrals of confirmed cases to the MDSS since the last web update report. Over the three days (Saturday, Sunday, and Monday), the average number of new confirmed cases is ~1673 per day. **The deaths announced today includes 6 deaths identified during a Vital Records review. Jackson County Cumulative Report: 15,723 COVID-19 Positive Cases and 296 Deaths

As of 11:00 PM today, there are 15,723 positive cases (cumulative), and 296 deaths (cumulative)*. There are 47 new cases since Friday’s report. As of August 30, there are 19 persons at Henry Ford Allegiance Health being treated as inpatients for COVID-19. Cumulative recovered, as of August 30: 14,685** The cumulative numbers posted on Mondays include the data from Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Recovered numbers are being posted as received. *These numbers do not reflect any cases or deaths identified through Michigan Department of Corrections. Their numbers are listed under a separate category and reported by the state at Michigan Statistics.
