VOLLEYBALL

Napoleon 3, Michigan Center 2: The Pirates won the last two sets to rally and take a conference win on the road. Hallie Duvall led the team with 33 digs, Claire Beer added 19 kills and 32 digs, and Jenna Yob had 21 assists.

 

Concord 3, Springport 0: The Yellowjackets remain unbeaten in conference play after a straight set road win. Annie Saenz went over 1,000 career kills in the match for Concord, she finished with 24 kills, 4 digs, 2 assists, and was 5/6 serving. Bradie Lehman had 14 assists, 6 kills, 11 digs, and was 13/13 serving with 2 aces. Addi Riske finished 19/20 serving with 2 aces and 20 digs. The Lady Jackets are now 6-0 in the conference and 12–6-3 overall.

 

Hanover Horton 3, Addison 0: The comets received contributions from all players on Tuesday and were led offensively by Quinn Knoblauch, Brynn DeGlee, Ava Smith, and Carly Boyk. Defensive contributions were led by Collins DeGlee, Brookie Biela & Chloe Akers. HH is now 15-6-4 overall.

 

Grass Lake 3, Leslie 0: Hayley Laurie helped lead the Warriors with 29 assists in a conference win. Hadleigh White tallied 11 kills, and Sydney Palmer added 21 digs. GL is now 17-3-2 overall and ranked #6 this week in Division 3 from the MIVBCA.

MHSAA GIRLS GOLF REGIONALS

Division 3 at Wheatfield CC: Michigan Center finished their season in sixth place at the regional meet in Williamston, shooting a team total of 389. Mallory Gilson tied for 11th individually, leading the Cardinals with an 89.

 

Division 4 at Calderone GC: Grass Lake tied for first as a team with Monroe SMCC on their home course, winning the tiebreaker and taking home the regional championship. The Warriors shot a total of 418, with sophomore Emma Troyer leading individually with a 99 in fifth place. Napoleon took the final team qualifying spot, finishing third with a total of 426. Katelyn Ault and Avery Rhodes took home first and second place individually, shooting an 88 and 93 respectively. GL and Napoleon will head to the D4 state finals at Grand Valley State University.

 

Division 4 at Cascades GC: Lumen Christi finishes second as a team on their home course, qualifying for the state finals with a team total of 415. Peyton Best led the Titans with an 88, finishing third. Individually, Haley Stimer of Concord qualified for the state finals after finishing in fifth with a 95.

CROSS COUNTRY

Big 8 at Bronson: Concord just edged out Bronson for second place in the boys event, the Yellowjackets were led by Jase Herendeen and Keaton Smith who finished 11th and 12th respectively. Aidan Bradley finished fifth for Springport, running a time of 18:11. Audrey Pyle and Audrey Rinehart finished first and second for the Lady Yellowjackets.

 

Cascades-North at Leslie: The host Blackhawks took first in the boys race, and Grass Lake finished second in the three-team race. Connor Boteler ran a time of 17:20, finishing second for the Warriors. Freshman Avery Jones finished third for the Lady Warriors. Full results available at athletic.net

 

Cascades-South at Addison: The Hanover-Horton boys team won their second conference meet of the season. The Comets had a low score of 24 to Jonesville’s 31. Cooper Flick and Chad Tyson finished second and third. Maisey Toteff placed 1st overall in the girls race with a time of 19:58! Brynlee Swihart took 3rd place in 21:09!
