Columbia Central 15, Addison 0: Blayden Steller and Lukas Calhoun each batted 3 hits to lead the Golden Eagles, and Steller earned the pitching win allowing just one hit in four innings.

 

Columbia Central 12, Addison 0: Lukas Calhoun earned the pitching win, allowing no hits in his four innings on the mound. Calhoun also led the batting lineup with two hits and three RBIs. CC is now 5-1 overall after Friday’s sweep.

 

Grass Lake 17, East Jackson 0: Cam Prater and Gavin Killinger each batted three hits to lead the Warriors in game one. GL scored 11 runs in the fifth inning to force the mercy rule.

 

Grass Lake 17, East Jackson 1: Ethan Brown batted 3-3 with 2 RBIs to lead the Warriors, and Noah Orban threw a no-hitter in the 3-inning mercy rule while striking out seven batters. GL improves to 5-0 to start the season.

Columbia Central 23, Addison 0: Bella Knapp drove in five runs on three hits to lead the Golden Eagles in game one. Gabby Gaydosh batted 4-4 with 3 RBIs, and Hailey Wetherby batted 3-3 with 3 RBIs.

 

Columbia Central 10, Addison 0: Camden Knapp dominated in the circle, throwing a no-hitter and 10 strikeouts in the five-inning win. Savannah MacBlain, Gabby Gaydosh, and Hailey Wetherby all batted two hits for the Golden Eagles. CC stays undefeated at 6-0 to start the season.

 

Grass Lake 14, East Jackson 0: The Warriors scored eight runs in the 5th inning to pull away and force a mercy rule in game one. Makenzie Hilberer batted 4-4 with 3 RBIs to lead the Warriors’ lineup, and Addalynn Hensen batted 3-5 with an RBI. Kayleigh Hilberer earned the pitching win, throwing eight strikeouts and allowing just one hit.

 

Grass Lake 15, East Jackson 0: Freshman Lily McVicker led the way in game two for the Warriors, batting 4-4 with 2 RBIs. Makenzie Hilberer and Mikayla Jurek each added three hits, Jurek also earned the pitching win and allowed just one hit. GL is still undefeated at 5-0 to start the season.

Hanover Horton 4, Jonesville 0

 

Grass Lake 3, Columbia Central 1: The Warriors scored two goals in the second half to pull away and win a key Cascades matchup on the road on Friday. Adelynn Kidd, Adeline Stormont, and Chloe Lesnick scored the goals for Grass Lake.

 

Michigan Center 3, Napoleon 0: McKynley Gaddy scored off an assist from Katie Wynn at 8:39 for the Cardinals. McKynley Gaddy then scored her second goal of the game, unassisted, at 12:48. In the second half, Carly Horstman scored unassisted at 57:15. Goalkeeper Abbie Hess had five saves in net.

TRACK & FIELD

Napoleon Invitational: In the boys competition, Lumen Christi placed 2nd as a team, and Columbia Central placed 4th. On the girls side, LC also placed 2nd and the host Pirates placed 4th. Full results here

 

HH Comet Invitational: Five teams from our area (10 total) competed in the HH invitational on Friday. The host Comets won the boys competition, and the girls placed 2nd. Full results here
