Springport 7, Hillsdale 6: The Spartans held on after a late rally by Hillsdale in game one. Jake Kregel batted 2-4 with an RBI for Springport. Gavin Lightner earned the pitching win.

SOFTBALL
Springport 10, Hillsdale 0: Morgan Shoemaker continued her hot streak, throwing a no hitter for the Spartans including 11 strikeouts. Brooklyn Love, Ashlyn Underhill and Reese Siefert each batted two hits.
Springport 12, Hillsdale 2: Peyton Collier batted 3-4 with 4 RBIs to lead Springport in game two and to a sweep at home. Three other Spartans batted two hits, and Ashlyn Underhill earned the win in the circle. Springport is now 10-2 overall.
Napoleon 14, Onsted 6: Katelyn Ault and Jada Gallagher each batted three hits for the Pirates in game one. Napoleon batted 13 total hits and scored seven runs in the 5th inning. Kaitlyn Fall took the pitching win, throwing eight strikeouts.

TRACK & FIELD
Charlie Janke Invitational at Jackson: Lumen Christi took 3rd place in the boys events at Jackson HS on Friday, with a team score of 75. The host Vikings took 6th, and Northwest placed 7th. Jackson had first place finishers in the 100 and 800 meter races. Johnny Walters took first in the 400m race for Lumen Christi, LC also had winners in the 3200m, high jump and pole vault. In the girls events, Lumen Christi took 5th place with 58 points, Jackson finished 6th and Northwest in 7th. Samantha Schroeder took first in the 3200m race for LC. Full results here
Leslie Blackhawk Invite: Hanover Horton took home first place in the boys events with a team score of 142. The host Blackhawks placed 2nd, Concord finished in 4th, and Springport finished top five. HH had winners in 10 out of 17 events. Concord’s girls team took first place and Hanover Horton finished in 4th. Full results here
Bulldog Invitational at Mason: Western dominated the field in the boys events, winning by nearly 40 points, and Columbia Central placed 3rd. Western was also the highest finishing team from the Jackson-area in the girls events, placing 6th. Full results here
Hinsdale Invitational at Sand Creek: Napoleon was the highest finishing school from our area at Sand Creek on Friday, placing top five in both the boys and girls events. Full results here
